Opportunities and Activities give teams a synchronized view of account-facing work while preserving the connected provider as the system of record.

Opportunities

The opportunity list typically begins with open work. Open an opportunity to review available fields such as:
  • account, contact, owner, and type;
  • status and stage;
  • expected close date;
  • summary and supporting context;
  • related activities, notes, files, and other records.
Where supported, you can edit selected fields such as status, stage, or expected close date. Some fields remain read-only, and interactive write support varies by provider. An organization-shared opportunity Chat can help summarize evidence, prepare questions, or draft a next step. Use Full access only for a supported write and verify the result in the provider.

Activities

Activities can represent provider-backed calls, meetings, tasks, and other sales work. The list can support filters such as owner, type, account, opportunity, and date. An activity detail can include:
  • description;
  • status, type, owner, and due date;
  • linked account, contact, opportunity, or tickets;
  • activity-scoped Chat;
  • supporting files.

Keep the record trustworthy

1

Confirm source freshness

If a record looks stale, refresh or check the source provider before making a decision.
2

Read the evidence

Review activities and notes rather than relying only on a generated summary.
3

Make the supported update

Use Forge where the editor is available; otherwise update the source provider.
4

Verify synchronization

Confirm the visible field or activity reflects the intended provider state.
Current interactive detail and editing capabilities are provider-dependent. A record appearing in Forge does not guarantee that every field can be changed there.
